not signed a contract with the union. >> we going to boycott, we're going to shut it down. >> reporter: carrying picket signs, the contract with the grand aequat expired in 2009 and local two union leaders have been in dispute which includes nonunion hotels. >> we need the same benefits and rights. >> the aequat has no respect of workers. >> reporter: the union signed contracts with the hill ton which agreed to a five year contract last week for a four percent annual compensation. they want to sign the same deal. >> we offered the same exact wages and benefit increases that the hill ton now has assigned contract that star wood has a contract and all the

other hotels in san francisco has signed contracts. >> reporter: but it is a special clause that allows union members to strike in solidarity, it's a stalemate that has the. >> the leadership for my union doesn't consider what the foreman and the other employee ms. the lobby are going through. i feel bad but this is not helping anything with all this noise. get back to the table and let's talk. >> reporter: today's protests was peaceful with no arrest. no negotiation ross scheduled but a picket line is scheduled tomorrow at 7:00 in the morning. live in san francisco,. police in oakland have one man in custody tonight and still searching for another one. that chase ended near east 31st street shortly before 4:00 o'clock. the driver and his passenger

abandoned the stolen car and took off running. witnesses say the car was still moving with when the two men took off running in opposite directions. >> he looked lost when we got out of the car and took off. it seemed like he was being chased but there was no car but i don't know if he stole the car. >> the car came down the hill with no one in it and the officers went chases it, like grabbing the drivers door running down the hill so it didn't hit anything. >> during the chase the suspects car ran into a police vehicle. the police car was damaged but the two officers inside were not hurt. police caught one of the men but still searching for the second person. now to san francisco where a 22-year-old woman was caught in the line of fire during a gang shooting. a 19 year old man suffered life threatening injuries in this

shooting. investigators say that the woman was not the intended target. the gunman was last seen driving away. the national rifle association today released a 225 page report on school safety recommending properly trained arm professionals be stationed at schools. >> drop your head and bank. >> troy cullman is a former police officer and deputy. he runs a program in san jose that teaches people to work as amend security guards. >> i think it's a good idea to have law enforcement or teachers with firearms in schools to protect the students in the event of an active shooter on the campus. >> south bay congressman says he doesn't expect the nra shield proposal to go very far. he says he's more entered in looking to reduce the number of

guns in the neighborhoods and schools. now to continues coverage of a shooting in a quiet neighborhood. the victim was in his car when the gunman got out of another car and shot him. we are live on keller avenue with new information about the victim. >> reporter: in fact heather in the last 30 minutes a family member of the victim confirmed he is his car registration is out of dublin. a law enforcement source says he is a paramedic. he was in his personal car when police say he was shot at a stop sign around noon today. first responders found him still inside his vehicle in a ravine off of keller avenue. he was shot by a man of another car at the intersection. the victim try today speed away but lost control and went into that ravine.

neighbors said they have had a rash of break ins lately but nothing like this. >> people want to know what happened and why and what is going to be done about it. >> reporter: when rescue crews got to the victim, he mumbled to them he tried to rob me. police don't confirm it was a robbery but that it was a possibility. this victim was shot in the head. he was taken to high land hospital in critical condition and we are still gathering information. at this point a witness only told them the suspect got away in a brown car. live in oakland. a man is arrested for -- striking a man standing on the front lawn. this is a photo. the man was on the front lawn was injured and taken to

today relatives remember the victim of the mass shooting at oikos today. 7 people died and 3 wounded in the rampage. heart broken relatives, including the three young daughters of the victim gathered today by her grave

long list of charges roadway lated to sunday's incident as early as tomorrow. the father of a teenager, he prays they find her daughter and her hiking partner. ken dell jack called authorities for help on sunday evening saying she and her friend were lost. a search party found the car but the pair is still missing. >> we need to find these kids today. they cannot sleep in these hills another night. >> sheriff deputies said they were able to get a gps location on the two but the rough at the rain have slowed the efforts. crews are using helicopters and blood hounds to search for the pair. consumers will soon be able to lease the companies all

the rest of office saw plenty of sunshine and high clouds streaming overhead. low 70s for the warmer communities. 52 half moon bay, wide from spread 60s in walnut creek, napa 60, a nice afternoon, as we get into the evening hours, is sun setting in the next few minutes. already see them creeping over san francisco and with theon shore breeze. the system here several hundred miles off the coastline, this is going to bring rain on thursday and it looks like it is going to hit us in time for the morning drive. let us pick it up wednesday morning, low clouds and a little fog seeping into the bay and north bay but it will burn away and see high clouds in the afternoon. not until sunset tomorrow had the high clouds thicken up ahead of the storm.

so if you look ahead you will notice the high clouds first, then as we sleep the storm comes in and thursday morning it's coming in good and everybody is getting wet. by 8, 9:00, 10:00, it is moving out of here. so for the second half of thursday hit or misshowers. it will be the steady rain in the morning, right in time for the morning drive and back away to showers for the afternoon. friday a weak system over northern california. this is going to keep us unsettled over the weekend. we are going to have to track it for you because we may see a few sprinkles. for tomorrow dry and mild conditions, high clouds increasing by the second half of the day. there is the storm that will bring up to a half inch of rain. we are thankful to see that so
